Join the team at Hi-Lo Liquor Market!

Hi-Lo Liquor Market is a fresh new take on the neighborhood liquor store, curated for a range of tastes, but following the friendly neighborhood bodega format we love!

We are seeking team members that have a hospitality focus and positive team-first mentality, and that are excited about the new craft culture of beer, wine and spirits and cocktails. Knowledge in at least one area (beer, wine, or sprits/cocktails) is strongly preferred, and the right new team member will be always learning about the others, and sharing that knowledge and excitement with our customers. Retail or other sales experience or stock management is not needed – we seek good people, and experience is not always the best indicator.

We encourage candidates to apply that can support the following team needs, and are excited about what Hi-Lo does for the neighborhood (and who we serve – the neighborhood):

  • team-first mentality (if you don’t work well with others, you won’t work at Hi-Lo)

  • we communicate actively (something work great? we say it. something needed? yep, that too.)

  • we all support some weekend availability

  • our team is reliable and timely

  • we have a great work ethic and attitude, and are calm under pressure

  • cocktail knowledge, craft beer knowledge, and general (or deep) wine knowledge a plus

  • foodies are welcome, we love to suggest good pairings!

  • we are all personable, love to talk and meet our customers (they are in fact people!)

  • we’re definitely approachable and friendly, not snooty about our knowledge

This role will include front-of-house sales, store organization, stocking, some bar shifts (depending on experience), and other non-sales oriented tasks. We need flexible and motivated people that can accomplish tasks independently and are always looking for ways to contribute to a really great team and mission – to help everyone turn their moments into a fun, rich experience and celebration, whether big and once-in-a-lifetime, or on the daily.

First things first! What is your full name?
